Charlie Coull and his son had been spending some days in the Cairngorms and got caught in the storm that engulfed the Lairig Ghru. Having helped an injured French walker who had been blown over in a gust their thoughts turned to their own situation. With 40+ knot winds forecast overnight they popped by the lodge and George found them space.

As ever George being thoroughly professional and very welcoming, with a full fire. They sat out the storm overnight and were able to set off for the final stretch up to Glenfeshie refreshed, invigorated and dried.
